A train operated by Amtrak has hit and killed a pedestrian, according to emergency dispatchers.
The pedestrian was hit in Lancaster near Grofftown Road on Friday around 2 p.m., according to dispatchers.
The victim died at the scene, dispatches say.
The train was enroute to Philadelphia, reports abc27 citing a viewer's daughter onboard the train.
No other injuries were reported and no cars derailed.
Amtrak police are handling the investigation.
